Hendricks Chapel is the student-centered global home for religious, spiritual, moral and ethical life and provides inclusive, supportive resources, groups and programming. The minor is open and welcoming to all students and offers a sustained opportunity to learn about LGBTQ experience, history and scholarship, as well as explore fundamental questions about sexualities, bodies, identities, communities, social movements and liberation politics.
As an interdisciplinary field, LGBTQ Studies critically examines the significance of sexuality and gender identity to social organization, cultural production and historical change from a wide range of academic disciplines. Their goal is to foster a sense of community while allowing space for dialogue that provokes a wider understanding of the complexities of identity.
STOP Bias and Hate is a University-wide initiative that educates the campus community about bias and hate and provides resources to report and receive support for bias-related or hate incidents. Furthermore, ACR Health provides a wide variety of targeted prevention and sexual health services to individuals, from youth through adulthood, as well as to community groups and organizations, with the goal of informed and responsible decision making.
CNY Pride encourages, empowers, and celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and their friends, families and supporters. The Cortland LGBTQ Resource Center strives to create a visible and empowered community through education, advocacy, resource enhancement and linkages to essential services for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer-identified people, as well as their families and other supportive community members.
