London to Morocco Post by Katyeyesandkatiephoot Β» 8 Dec , am We are currently planning a trip in the summer, cycling from the UK to Morocco through France and Spain passing through Paris and Barcelona taking about three months maximum. We hope to cycle as much of it as possible although this will be our first long trip and we are essentially beginners. We would be really grateful for any advice on making our journey especially in route planning.
If anyone has done a similar trip we would love to hear from you. Thank you, Phoot and Eyes xx. It's very difficult to navigate from the ferry to the side road which looks very easy on the map. Despite good map reading skills  my Dad, our tandem and myself ended up on the motorway on the bridge leading up to the Pont, which was horrific.
But it's a great bridge to ride when you get there. Post by nick arrow Β» 5 Jan , am point taken! Post by steve climpson Β» 5 Jan , am This may be relevant. Many years ago I and a girlfriend took a motorbike down to Morocco and the edge of the Sahara. The big issue we found was that you are very exposed to the local people on any bike this is normally a good thing but driving along we were frequently stoned by children who are deadly accurate stonethrowers.
