Park entry fees is no longer based on location of the Camp or Lodge at which one is staying at in the Reserve. Children upto 8 years of age at time of exit will be allowed FREE entry. Some of the points to note are that guests staying outside the reserve will be required to pay a daily entry fee wherein the ticket will be valid from 6am to 6pm.
Exit beyond this time will attract additional entry daily fee. Extension beyond this time will be considered an additional day in park fee. A 2 hour transit ticket will be issued to guests coming from facilities hotels outside the reserve, at the gate of entry, to allow them to reach the aistrips within the reserve. Citizens and Residents of Kenya are required to carry identification and proof of residence to avail the cheaper Resident rates.
The rate of USD 70 per adult per 24 hours therefore applies. Visitors are required to present their National ID for Kenyan citizens or Passport displaying Work permits or appropriate Visas to prove resident status upon entrance into the reserve.
