Federal officials have identified Laundrie as a person of interest in the disappearance of his fiance, year-old Gabby Petito. A body believed to be of Petito was found in a Wyoming national park on Sunday. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
The body was found near where her van was seen on August 27, two days after she last contacted her Long Island family. Petito was on a cross-country trip with Laundrie.
During their trip, on Aug. Laundrie recently returned to his parent's Florida home but he refused to work with authorities before going missing himself. Following the raid, his family's lawyer canceled a press conference scheduled for Tuesday in New York.
