I highly recommend the Warbird Over the Beach show. WW1, WW2, and many other aircraft. He came home with so much new information he learned and had so much to say about what he had seen each day. He had a wonderful experience! I was extremely happy with the whole program. You'll get up close and personal with an expansive collection of vintage airplanes, all meticulously maintained.
It's a true labor of love. There's a contagious passion for aviation and history in the atmosphere. This was easily one of my favorite museums I've ever been to. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. All of the planes fly and they have airshows. It's off the beaten path and totally worth it. We started our day here, then traveled to Cape Henry and then hit Virginia Beach. Made for a full and fun day! Purchases in the Museum Store fund the continuing educational mission of the Military Aviation Museum to support areas including youth programs, flight demonstrations, and exhibit development.
