This article presents an analysis of different forms and practices of solidarity emerging in the context of the pandemic. The theoretical framework is a reflection on the very notion of crisis and its chronicity. Drawing on empirical research, I show how the experience of crisis produces different forms of agency and mutual care. On the other — referring to the micro level of practices — I discuss the situation of a group less visible during the pandemic, people who use opioids, presenting a different understanding and practice of solidarity in the context of the absence or hostility of the state.
