The Distinguished Springfield Professors of Humanics annual "A Taste of Humanics" fundraiser will allow you to enjoy quality time with colleagues, while enjoying delicious food, desserts, and drink. Proceeds from the event go directly to the Friends in Humanics Scholarship, which benefits our student scholars. The scholarship is completely funded by current and retired faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.
All funds raisedβ percent of dollars givenβwill be awarded to students nominated to receive the Friends in Humanics Scholarship in Gifts may be given in advance or made at the door. These students have put Humanics into action through various activities and deeds on and off the campus. Faculty and staff of Springfield College donate to the scholarship, and all funds raised each year are awarded directly to students that year. Faculty and staff are encourage to nominate deserving students from any of the majors within any of the Schools at the College, including undergraduate students enrolled at any of the satellite campuses.
Nominate A Student. The scholarship is designed to assist deserving students with financial need who have also demonstrated academic scholarship, leadership on campus, care and concern for community, and who have put Humanics into action through various activities and deeds on and off campus.
All of the funds for this scholarship come from personal donations from the faculty and staff of Springfield College, who give through annual events on campus and the College's Giving Day. The scholarship consists of a monetary amount applied to the tuition account of the student recipient at Springfield College, as well as a framed certificate of recognition.
A call for nominations is sent in March, and students are recognized and awarded scholarships each spring during the Humanics Lecture. Together, our efforts can and will make a difference. Please join us in putting our Humanics philosophy into action by helping these scholars realize their dreamsβto graduate from Springfield College and carry our Humanics philosophy into the world.
