Lisa started her business Serenity Kneaded 5 years ago and is part of the team at My Cambridge Health, which is a multidisciplinary clinic which focuses on Acupuncture, Massage Therapy and Cupping. Lisa offers therapeutic massage therapy incorporating general Swedish massage with connective tissue techniques. Her approach to therapy is to identify and treat the cause of dysfunction.
Some of Lisa's techniques include myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilizations, active therapy, deep tissue release, and Swedish massage. She has experience in treating headaches, concussion, whiplash, low back pain, piriformis syndrome, and pregnancy massage.
She works with a diverse group of clients with specific needs and concerns such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, Stroke damage, Hemiplegia, Cervical Dystonia to name a few. Her passion while in school was treating residents in Hospice for pain management and comfort.
She will modify your massage to suit your specific needs. Her serene approach offers harmony, balance and relaxation to your busy life. Lisa caters to clients of all ages including children, adults and seniors.
Since people differ in the level of pressure they can tolerate, Lisa will modify her techniques to accommodate clients' comfort level. She encourages clients to provide feedback on which interventions seem to help and which cause them pain. Your initial treatment will consist of a 15 minute assessment followed by treatment.
