I've lived in France now for 4 years and have mostly found alternatives and new favourites from the supermarkets here. I used to order from British Cornershop but they went bust then I used The Trading Post but they have stopped delivering to my area.
Depending on where you live it can be cheaper to get a Ryanair flight with checked luggage and do a return trip just for shopping although terrible for the environment. What is it that you're missing at Xmas? I now make my own Xmas puddings, mince pies, and other things like that.
I just miss things like boxes of biscuits, sweets like Jelly Babies, mint Matchmakers, crackers for cheese and pulling, paxo I know! My MIL makes the mince pies and I always do a cake, it's just those sort of naff ready made bits from childhood that I miss.
MagpiePi Indeed, I used to get my dad to post stuff but since Brexit was rubber stamped it's not worth the price any more. I stopped using Trading Post as everything was out of stock all the time, well the veggie stuff I wanted was.
I did go back to the UK a few weeks ago and lets just say, there was alot of sweaty extra mature cheddar cheese in the boot when we finally got home.
