Shocked cinemagoers have stormed out of Sydney screening of Nicole Kidman 's steamy new age-gap romance Babygirl. The Hollywood actress, 57, stars as married company boss Romy who falls for her young intern Samuel, played by Harris Dickinson, 28, and they embark on a steamy affair. The movie features a whole host of very erotic scenes, including one where Romy drinks milk off a saucer before Samuel licks it off her lip. Several cinemagoers were left completely shocked by the racy content during a screening of the movie at the Westpac OpenAir Sydney cinema on Monday night, with many leaving the cinema midway through the movie after thinking it would be a standard rom-com.
A Daily Mail Australia reporter, who attended the advance screening of the sexually-charged film, witnessed multiple older couples walking out of the theatre. One couple left the screening just 45 minutes into the movie while another couple made the decision to stop watching after the sexually-charged plate licking scene. Since arriving in cinemas, many other viewers have also taken to social media to remark that they had seen people walking out of the cinema before the movie ended.
Another unimpressed fan wrote on X: 'Babygirl is insufferable wtf??? Another said: 'I'm sorry but the movie Babygirl sucked. It really did. First movie in a long time that I checked the time and went ''damn, still an hour left??? Taking to Reddit, one cinemagoer claimed one couple had been 'very loud' about their dislike of the movie before storming out. They penned: 'Was at a screening of Babygirl with 2 couples and myself.
Both couples walked out before the movie ended. I stayed the whole time but wish I would have joined them tbh. The movie features a whole host of very erotic scenes, including one where Romy downs a glass of milk and another where she drinks milk off a saucer before Samuel licks it off her lip.
The other couple was younger and surprised they left! However, other fans took to social media to strongly disagree with the criticism, and gushed over how much they enjoyed the steamy romance. One wrote: 'More and more I'm realising I'm in the minority for having enjoyed this movie. Another shared: 'I'm in the same boat. I thought the movie was great, but I'm seeing more and more people who did not like it. A third tweeted: 'I loved Babygirl.
