Financial Affairs is pleased to welcome two new assistant vice presidents who bring substantial knowledge and experience in supply chain and budget operations and management. Marco Garcia joined Financial Affairs in early December as the assistant vice president of Supply Chain, while Phranses Williams began this month as assistant vice president for Budget and Financial Planning.
He medically retired from the U. He served in numerous non-commissioned officer leadership roles ranging from Team Leader to Company First Sergeant. Knowing that UTSA has made major strides toward becoming a Tier 1 university, Garcia is excited to utilize his manufacturing supply chain experience in the higher education world. A Corpus Christi native, Garcia is an active weight lifter, dad to two sons and one daughter, grandfather of one, and looks forward to exploring the non-tourist side of San Antonio with his wife.
He is especially excited about taking his daughter to their first UTSA volleyball game. In accepting her new role, Williams believes UTSA is an awesome next step in her career where she can impact the Roadrunner community in a meaningful way.
