Please join us for the 4th annual GF10 weekend! We are excited to once again offer 3 distances: 5K, 10K and 10M. The 5K is run entirely along the North Dakota side of the Greenway. The finish line for all races is at the flood obelisk just to the south of the Sorlie Bridge. By participating in the Grand Forks Running Weekend, you not only strengthen yourself but also take an active part in connecting with the community — go you! Our mission from day one has been to support active lifestyles for kids of all ages in the Greater Grand Forks Community. We do this by removing financial barriers to help our area stay active by providing complimentary race entries to Special Olympics of North Dakota athletes and partners, as well as donating our net proceeds to these awesome youth-empowering c 3 charities:.
Inspires the improvement of self-esteem in adolescent girls through the empowerment of self and service to others taught through life skill lessons, female mentorship, and physical activities. Helps provide students of low-income families with necessary supplies so they can participate in extra-curricular physical activities at school. Promotes kids being involved in active programs that foster better health and positive behavior by cultivating values, skills and relationships.
Supports youth groups and projects, which focus on risky behavior prevention and promote healthful decisions and opportunities. Grand Forks Running provides you with a great opportunity to check your skills, strength, endurance and help the local community.
