In other words, yes, Rathorn is a barbarian in the classical sense of the word, but he is a different character, with his own history, his own personality, and his own behaviors.
The first episode is kind of the origin story of why and how he left his clan, and how he met the half-elven thief, Whisperfoot. Additional characters will be added as time goes on. The Greek gods, having been basically overthrown on Earth, saw this other world and decided to go there. That was five thousand years ago.
Yes, that means the Cobalt Kingdoms is technically in our future. The setting guide will pretty much be the Rathorn Sourcebook.
I will probably stat up Rathorn and include him and his companions in the setting book. Jason Eric Nelson has been sending out the links. I think he put it in a Dropbox folder for people who bought it as an add-on. So what is the technology level of the Rathorn universe?
Parsethia is a bit of an Egyptian analogue. The tech level and magic level is pretty solidly 5e. Over the course of a year, it will be over novel-length pages, and there are plans to continue the story well beyond that.
