At ACA we try our best to offer the students a wide variety of learning opportunities that let the students follow their passions. One way that we do this is with our elective program. Four days a week Intermediate and Middle School students get the opportunity to experience new topics and pursue interests. Not only do the students gain many new experiences in the topic of their choice, but the electives give an opportunity for the families of ACA to become more connected by teaching the elective.
Every trimester we want to give the students a chance to choose any topic that they choose, but unfortunately, that is very difficult to do. Each teacher can teach one elective every day, but we need more community volunteers to bring their expertise to our school. We have an amazing network of families that have already brought us fantastic elective teachers that the students love. Thank you to everyone who has ever volunteered to teach an elective. It is because of our parent volunteers that the students are able to have such a great opportunity.
Recently, I talked to Middle School students about what classes they would like to take next trimester. If you have knowledge about any of these topics and have time to teach them one day a week for one hour from β , it would help us out tremendously.
Additionally, if you have any other skills you could teach, that would also be very helpful. Thank you so much to everyone in advance that will volunteer their time to help our students.
Back to School Nights are this week! BTSN is crucial for parents and guardians because they offer insight into the classroom environment, foster relationships with teachers, and demonstrate to students that their education is a priority. Wonderful Wednesdays Begin Wednesday, August Students will receive a new, blue, Wonderful Wednesday shirt prior to August Students can wear their new shirts or an older Wonderful Wednesday shirt. Remind: This is another way for the school to quickly inform you on what is happening on campus.
