Just come across this forum and its very helpful So far I have found the place lovely but I'd be very happy to meet some people here, I speak English and French which I must improve! Also any advice on flat hunting! I'm not having much luck here, I have to relocate some colleagues from France to Lausanne but I'm struggling to secure a place for them and I'm also looking for a flat for myself, which is very hard what with the competition and landlords choices etc!!

Welcome to Lausanne! Apartment hunting is indeed a pain If you can get an "attestation" from your workplace this seems to be handy in securing an apartment although to me, it looks like a fairly meaningless piece of paper!
We are leaving Switzerland in mid-August and our lovely Good luck. We found our place through a relocations agent which made it a much easier and more expensive endevour.
