Carolyn Benecke, owner of Passageway Massage, has continued to grow her business since graduating from the Omaha School of Massage in Carolyn has worked exclusively in the Historic Old Market, and greatly enjoys the energy of the Old Market and being a part of the Old Market community. She started her massage career in the Old Market Passageway, working in that building for 12 years.
Having moved from there, but still wanting that history to be a part of her business, she kept the name and adapted it into Passageway Massage, your journey to wellness. A member of the AMTA since , Carolyn has continued to hone her skills studying many different modalities including deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, myokinesthetics, unlocking computer shoulder, core body mechanics, sports massage, structural analysis, reflexology, lava stone, and Ayurvedic Pancha Karma treatments.
Carolyn is able to draw on all her education and 20 plus years of experience. Her yoga training and personal yoga practice helps her to be present with her clients, and to also identify muscle imbalances. Check out her classes here. PanchaKarma is the ultimate in detox and relaxation, and helps us restore balance and reset our mind and body at the change of the seasons. It starts with a dry brush exfoliation to prepare your skin for the massage. The massage is done next with warm herbal-infused oil that brings balance to your specific body type. Then shirodhara is performed β a profoundly relaxing experience in which warm herbal oil is poured continuously over the forehead third eye for minutes depending on your body type.
