Test for certification may be beyond the six 6 month date. Certification must be received and presented to HR within 12 months of date of hire. The Speech Therapist performs duties within standards of clinical practice as defined by the Department of Professional Regulation, the American Speech-Language- Hearing-Association and the policies and procedures of the agency, and functions under the direction of a physician and nursing supervisor in the deliverance of skilled Speech Therapy care to the client. Establishes a Speech Therapy treatment plan in consultation with the physician and revises it with the physician's approval as necessary.
