Cuba in the nineties. An adolescent escapes from a juvenile detention home and hits the streets of Havana. With a combination of sex, rum and a somewhat grim sense of humour he fights of the recurrent sense of hunger, as he manages to end up in relationships with both a prostitute and a drag queen. And all of this before a storm hits the island. The police having come to an understanding that he has no next-of-kin, Reinaldo is sent to a detention home, from which he soon escapes, preferring to try his luck amongst the labyrinth of crumbling streets that make up Old Havana.
He soon finds refuge with prostitute Magda, before turning his attentions to drag queen Yunisleidi, both of whom share a sense of self-loathing, as well as love for the boy. We use cookies on our website.
