Good Shepherd has been blessed by a rich legacy of dedicated men and women who worked closely with the clergy not only in constructing our beautiful church but also in laying a strong spiritual and social foundation upon which the present generation continues to build, inspiring present and future generations of Catholic Christians to live their lives formed by Gospel values.
The parish is a ministry of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars. We are committed, as was St. Francis of Assisi, to gospel brotherhood through poverty, chastity and obedience; to the proclamation of the Good News by lives of service; and to minister humbly wherever the Spirit leads us and the Church needs us.

A number of parish groups address both the spiritual needs of the faith community and the pressing social needs of our neighborhood, our city, and the world. We also host a wide variety of cultural events throughout the year.
