When it comes to camping in Montana, you really can't even begin to explain to someone just how many areas are available to the general public. National parks, forest service land, RV parks, some parking lots and even private property. Getting away from it all is like a state past time for many of us. It comes in all forms as well.

Inevitably, there will come a point in your camping experience that nudity will probably be involved. Beer will probably be present for this experience also, or maybe that is just the friends that I tend to camp with. Either way, at some juncture, someone will sprint through the campground in Mickey Mouse glow in the dark underwear around their head.
But what if you could really camp, in the nude, all the time, without worrying about disturbing the neighbors and having a dog bite where you really don't want one?
So, where is this camp area for recreational nudists? Well, that's the catchy part. Nobody seems to know, that is unless you are a member. Oasis 33 bills itself as a 33 acre nude recreation retreat offering swimming, camping, sun bathing, hiking, social events and more. The location, while somewhat a secret, is one hour south of Billings in the bad lands of Montana.
Specific directions to the camp area are given out once you have made your reservation. The season generally runs from April to September, with membership details here. At least you can pack light for this one! If baring it all to your fellow campers isn't really how you want to spend a week in the wilderness, perhaps being in the attire of a pioneer is more your style.
