Gordon Reid. Mayerson was born and raised in Somerset, New Jersey. He is actively involved with teaching Yale medical students, resident and fellows, holding the title of Associate Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Medicine. She returned to Yale University to complete a three-year fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, where she devoted her research time to the study of hypoglycemia in Type 1 Diabetes.
Along with her busy clinical practice at Endocrine Associates, she is also a preceptor and educator for medical students, residents and fellows at the Yale School of Medicine and Frank H Netter School of Medicine. Fernando has earned professional certification ECNU in neck ultrasonography, for physicians who perform consultations and diagnostic evaluations for thyroid and parathyroid disorders including ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration.
This certification is bestowed by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She continues to remain an active participant in the Thyroid Conference and is Clinical Associate Professor in the Dept of Endocrinology. She has precepted nurse practitioners, medical students and residents in both clinical practice and in doctoral studies. She has been active on several committees to improve diabetes management.
In August of she was delighted to join Endocrine Associates and combines clinical practice with medical education, working with medical residents from Hospital of St Raphael.
She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and is a member of Endocrine society, and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She was born and raised in England and India. She joined Endocrine Associates of Connecticut in Dr Shetty treats all endocrine problems, with a special interest in diabetes mellitus and the role that evidence-based lifestyle medicine plays in the prevention and management of metabolic disease.
