Since I was still recovering from a badly sprained ankle which put me on crutches for 4 weeks before the wedding , I wore ballet flats!
And, I made myself and my bridesmaids wire hangers. Beneath my dress was this little Alpha Sigma Alpha pin, and the floating pearl necklace was my something old. I had purchased it at a thrift store in the Florida Keys with my Nana when I was probably only 12 or so. I held onto it all these years, but never had an occasion to wear itβ¦. Soβ¦ I wanted to transform the headband into a unique bracelet.
It not only gave us a chance to sneak a peek before the ceremony, but we were able to get more unique shots of the two of us without being pressed for time. This photo below is one I will cherish forever.
I had asked my Nana to read 1st Corinthians, and she was thrilled. Sadly, 8 months after our wedding she passed away suddenly. Now you will feel no cold, For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no more loneliness, For each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two bodies, But there is one life before you. Go now to your dwelling place, To enter into the days of your togetherness.
