IOM has established a Rapid Support Mechanism RSM in Somalia, a mechanism to provide rapid humanitarian response through local and international partners to vulnerable communities in need in the priority districts identified by the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for Somalia. Through the RSM, IOM will ensure that the rapid response grants are implemented by partners that have the required capacity and expertise in the target locations and sectors.
Grants will be accessible to implementing partners based on the needs identified and operational gaps escalated through the area-based coordination groups. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required oral and written. Working knowledge of Somali is an advantage.
