We are thrilled to announce expansion of the Master's in Social Work program at Stan State, with a new cohort of students at the Stockton campus. This exciting development marks a substantial step towards making our program even more accessible and accommodating to a broader range of dedicated social work professionals.
The MSW Program being offered at the Stockton campus is a unit, 3-year fully-accredited degree program. In the first semester, students take thirteen units. Thereafter, students take an average of units per semester. Most classes for the three-year program are scheduled early evening.
Students are required to concurrently complete field internship on Tuesdays and Thursdays, during the day, which includes a regularly scheduled seminar. Students are placed in a variety of social service agencies approved by the Social Work Program.
Advancing social justice and enhancing individual and community well-being are primary program goals. We are excited about this new chapter for our Master's in Social Work program and look forward to welcoming the next cohort of passionate social work professionals in Stockton.
