Participants develop an Individualized Service Plan with their case worker, focusing on education, health, connections, safety, and wellbeing, and attend weekly group classes on life skills. They also obtain essential documents and a smartphone for communication.
These initiatives aim to help the youth safely transition into independence and adult responsibilities. Aftercare Regional Independent Living Program provides additional support and assistance services to participants 18 to 23 years old who have aged out of out of home care. The program is available to any qualifying resident of Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth Counties at no cost.
