The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs included in the immune system that plays a vital role in protecting the body from infection and disease by assisting in the removal of toxins, waste and overall undesirable substances. We were greeted warmly by masseuse , Tracy, and led to a private room for treatment. There, we got undressed and laid under a soft blanket on a warm table.
When Tracy returned to the treatment room, she got to work on the legs first. Using her hands, she began making a series of strokes with mild pressure along the lymph vessels to help get things moving.
