Stayed for 2 nights at this 4 star hotel in the middle of Hilden close to the shopping street and about 15 min walk from the station.
They did a good job, the interior in this part of the hotel has been updated with a very contemporary feel to it. We booked a standard room, however the heating was not working properly and we got upgraded immediately which was very much appreciated. The rooms, looked a little bit dated, but were to my delight utterly spotless. The bathrooms especially the shower trays and doors were immaculate, although some water was leaking onto the bathroom floor when using the shower.
The housekeeping department is doing a good job for sure. I was pleased to see soap dispensers installed rather than having all those little customary bottles with soap and gel, saving on plastic. Good forward environmental thinking. Because the floor covering was carpet rather than tiles or laminate I would have liked some of those hotel slippers that are customary in most hotels these days.
