We provide a range of community health services from Petersfield Hospital including two rehabilitation wards. Rowan Ward is a 21 bedded unit specialising in the frailty, rehabilitation of adult patients and End of Life Care.
Our aim is to provide individualised care tailored to the patients needs whilst promoting independence. We support patients and families with complex decisions around discharge plans and destinations. We request that only two visitors attend at any time unless pre-agreed in advance. Please let the ward know in advance if you are bringing anyone under Lunch The ward operates a protected mealtime service, a member of staff will be on hand to ensure that the atmosphere is calming and provides support where needed.
Please avoid entering the ward or visiting during these times. We promote Johns Campaign which includes welcoming family and carers during mealtimes and outside of normal visiting depending on the needs of the individual patient. If you feel that a patient would benefit from this please discuss with the ward team. You can contact the ward by calling: Cedar Ward is a 21 bedded unit specialising in the frailty, rehabilitation of adult patients and End of Life care.
The Laurel Assessment Unit provides a rapid assessment service for older people. It is open between 8am - 5pm. The Urgent Treatment Centre is an alternative to the emergency department for both children and adults. It provides treatment for minor injuries and illnesses that are urgent but not life threatening. It is open 12 hours a day, every day, all year round, from 8am to 8pm. The opening times have been based on local need. Further information can be found on our Urgent Treatment Centre page.
