A teen was shot in Clovis on Saturday, later dying while being treated at a Lubbock hospital, and two teens have been arrested in connection with his murder. According to a media release sent by Clovis PD, the shooting happened "on Saturday, January 11, , at about a. On arrival, officers located year-old Tony Cristan on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso and head areas. Cristan was then transported by EMS "to Plains Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and then transferred to a Texas hospital for further treatment.
It was reported later that he died while being treated for his injuries. The 9th Judicial District Major Crimes Unit has been activated and is actively investigating this shooting. According to Clovis PD, this investigation resulted in the identification and arrest of two individuals: Brian Williams and Jimmy Garcia, both 16 years old. Williams was arrested and charged with murder, conspiracy, and tampering with evidence. Garcia was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and harboring or aiding a felon.
