Sam Curran: It's always nice to win, we bowled well throughout. Jason Roy batted well, but we bowled really well towards the end. Everyone is standing up at different times. Hales is batting well and we are in a really good place. Hopefully Ferguson will be back in the next game, his injury is not that bad.
Tim Southee: We got ourselves in a nice position, but we lost wickets midway and didn't get momentum at the back end. We have shown glimpses, but haven't been strong enough together. The equation is simple from here as we have four games left.
It was tough in the first few overs. Once the two guys got in, they put the foot down and had a match-winning partnership. They have clearly been the far superior side in this tournament. Earlier in the day, it was a pretty good effort by their bowlers to restict the Warriorz to a mediocre total. Roy and Tom Kohler Cadmore played pivotal knocks, however, the rest of the Sharjah batters weren't able to chip in with substantial contributions.
In reply, the Vipers lost a couple of early wickets in the form of Fakhar Zaman and Daniel Lawrence, but Hales and Curran took control of proceedings following that. Hales took his time to get himself in, but once he was set, he smashed the bowlers to all parts of the park. Curran joined him soon as the England duo finished off the chase within 15 overs. Both of them scored fifties as it was a clinical chase by the Vipers.
