A year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman was arrested on Tuesday for the death of an Eastvale woman who died as a result of a DUI traffic collision. Grace Whitman was first arrested following a major traffic collision on Monday, June 4, , at around p. Emergency medical personnel and Eastvale police responded to the scene to find a year-old female from Eastvale with severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Through investigation, it was determined that Whitman was driving her gray Subaru westbound on Schleisman Road, where she failed to stop at a red light. The Subaru slammed into a black Toyota sedan in the intersection as it entered southbound on Scholar Way. Both the driver and the passenger in the Toyota sustained major to life-threatening injuries.
Whitman was not injured and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. She was cleared medically at a local hospital and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for Driving Under the Influence and causing injury.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Grace Whitman.
