Oh, birthday parties. Attending other parties is fine and dandy, but throwing our own parties? Stress city for me. The girls both celebrate birthdays one after the other February and March , and then Logan follows in April tomorrow, actually.
So I found another solution: party at Chick-fil-A! I love it, the kids love it, and Kenny likes their coffee, so it was a done deal. I thanked my lucky stars that we picked CFA since it rained the morning of their party. We were going to have it out on their patio, but the rain swept us inside. Everyone rolled with the punches, and it worked out since then the kids could frolic inside the play area. I planned on freezing leftovers, but in reality we just munched on CFA over the weekend.
The girls picked out sparkly sunglasses and bubbles to hand out to their friends, and we bought some fun photo props. Since the Chick-fil-A cow was joining us for part of the party, they also put up a photo backdrop, where we all had fun snapping pics.
And last, but not least, we set out a little mini bundt cake bar! I made some funfetti mini bundt cakes , brought some pink and purple frosting and tons of different kinds of sprinkles, and the kids went to town decorating their cakes!
Sorry, parents, for the sugar rush that showed up a little later! Thankfully, Kenny had no problem getting people to eat it at work that coming Monday. All in all, it was a really great party. As much as it stressed me out to have their party, it was really, really fun to see the girls having so much fun with their friends. I did not know they gave birthday parties. Will have to let several of my friends know so they can have one more place to choose from.
