When deputies arrived, they spoke with year-old Carlie Roberts, who let them into her home. Documents say Carlie Roberts was speaking with medical services when the deputy returned and asked what had happened to her husband. Carlie Roberts told GCSO that the gun she had used to shoot Dustin Roberts was left on a dresser in the bedroom, which deputies found when searching the home later.
Court documents also note that Carlie Roberts exhibited very different behavior while in a GCSO car awaiting transport to the jail. According to GCSO, she was spotted on an in-car camera smiling and dancing while singing along with the radio in the car. The probable cause statement also says mental health medication prescribed to Carlie Roberts was found during the search of the residence, but that it is unknown whether she was taking it as prescribed.
Carlie Roberts has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held in the Greene County Jail without bond. She is being held in Greene County jail without bond.
