Today I am wise so I am changing myself. This is the tricky thing about life, getting to that point where you feel as though you are actually grasping the lessons that life is offering. I really had to sit and think about thisβ-would I rather have wisdom or a lesson? To keep things in perspective we are given lessons daily, so the real gifts would be a daily wisdom, right? I am going to deep dive into the internet, ask friends and family and share what I can uncover from a deeper, wiser place. I am a big believer in the deeper, more meaningful stuff that gives life the real richness.
Experiences create that. I was at the grocery store this morning and I noticed a nice looking, well-groomed man who was walking around the store parking lot with a small broom and dust pan. I was getting into my car when he was within a small distance. I have been working for the man who owns this property for 13 years.
We have so much to be grateful for. Gratitude is a wonderful thing. The world needs more of it. He is lucky to have someone like you who cares and takes pride in what he does.
Have a beautiful day. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well. In whatever you find yourself doing, at whatever crossroad, whatever age, whatever destinationβfind purpose and give of your best in all you do. There is great wisdom in that!! You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.
