A Columbus attorney has been disbarred for multiple ethical violations, including charging excessive fees, stealing client money and falsifying bank documents, the Ohio Supreme Court said. After the relative asked for bank statements, Port falsified records to hide his transactions. Records say Port self-reported his misconduct to the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct after being found out. Port did not disclose that his wife's company had resold the home until a hearing when he was removed as administrator. Port is scheduled to be sentenced in that case on Dec. Port had been on an interim suspension since December and did not answer the charges brought against him by the conduct board.
