The College of Charleston family continues to grow with the addition of these new staff members from across campus. With backgrounds in everything from television to taprooms, these new employees listed alphabetically below all share an interest in traveling and exploring new places β and in getting to know the College of Charleston community.
Welcome to the College! Stephanie Clark, Center for International Education. At the beginning of , I took an opportunity to travel extensively domestically and internationally for a long period of time. Will Dewitt, Division of Information Technology. Background: Originally from Waycross, I was born and raised in southern Georgia. I attended Valdosta State University and received my bachelor of fine arts in mass media.
I started my career creating television shows and commercials for The Outdoor Channel. For eight years, I worked as the media director of a large historic church implementing upgraded technology, overseeing building and expansion projects and managing staff and volunteers to direct and broadcast seven Sunday services. I relocated to Charleston last year to serve as engineer for conference facilities at Trident Technical College.
Looking Ahead: I am excited to take on the role of AV manager at College of Charleston, as my career focus has always been technological innovation and implementation. After graduate school, I moved with my now husband to Charleston for a few years, where I taught high school English. In we moved back to Kentucky where I worked at the Kentucky Community and Technical College System as the academic and programs coordinator for all 16 individually accredited community colleges.
Interests: Family and experiences are very important to me. I enjoy traveling with my husband, cooking and reading. My family also owns two breweries in Kentucky where, before moving, I was the taproom manager at one of our locations. Looking Ahead: I am looking forward to interacting and working on a college campus.
