Barge Aground also known as Seagull is a unique, boat-shaped folly that occupies prime, peaceful viewing position from the bay, with direct beach access and uninterrupted views across the shimmering Atlantic Ocean.
Rich in historic tales, the folly was originally designed and built in the s. Once used as a canteen by German occupying forces during World War Two, its former lives also include a speech-therapy clinic and a camping base for the Scouting Association.
Facilities include a well-equipped kitchen dishwasher included and shower room, while the spacious, sociable lounge and diner are perfect for catch-up conversations over drinks. It was our 7th time visiting the property and we were very impressed with the new furniture and TV β although the majority of our time was spent on the terrace enjoying the view and the new outside seating. We will definitely be back! The property is beautifully furnished and very well-equipped.
