He preceded her in death on November 18, From the age of 18, Shirley worked at the Hazel Green Hospital until its closing. She was an avid Wheel of Fortune watcher and a dedicated supporter of the Chicago Cubs. Her love for baseball was unmatched, and she spent many joyous afternoons watching games, always cheering for her favorite team. She also had a special bond with her brother, Donald, as they were Irish Twins. Shirley's cats, PK and Chewy, were her cherished companions.
She was known for her devotion to her family and her church, which were the cornerstones of her life. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law, Donna Mae Splinter; and two brothers-in-law, James Lynch and Jerry Price.
